The Sharavathi Valley: The Sharavathi river valley nestled in the central Western Ghats of Shimoga district is an ecological paradise. The Sharavathi River, rising at Ambuthirtha in Thirthahalli taluk flows north-west and drops down in the Ghats at the world famous Jog falls. The Sharavathi Backwaters is about 60 KM in long and about 15 KM wide. This was formulated with the construction of a dam at Linganamakki accross river Sharavathi. Lots of islands have been formed.

Camp fees : Rs.1300/- per person which includes Registration Fees, Food [2 Break Fast, 2 Lunch and 1 Dinner], Tented Accommodation, Equipment Charges, Instructor Charges, Guide Charges, etc. Travel Cost @ actual's to be borne by the participants.

Activities : Activities include Floating Exercises, Kayaking, Canoeing, Coracle Ride, Still Water Rafting Island Camping and Hike to the view point. These are not just for the fun, but are also good learning sessions. Here one learns to use the equipments, pitching the tents, light the camp fire etc.,
